Struggle Together, Never Alone: Row Around Britain Challenge Raises £10,000+

At Oriya Gym’s “Struggle Together, Never Alone” Row Around Britain challenge, the community came together for one powerful purpose: to support men’s mental health.
Over one intense weekend, we rowed the equivalent of the full coastline of Britain—and raised over £10,000 for Andy’s Man Club, helping men across the UK access vital mental health support.
This was more than a fitness challenge. It was a statement: no man should struggle alone.

The Challenge: Row Around Britain

What We Achieved Together

Over £10,000 Raised for Andy’s Man Club

Thanks to donations, sponsorships, and community support, the event raised over £10,000 for Andy’s Man Club. Every pound helps men across the UK access safe spaces to talk, break the stigma, and get support.

Live Coverage from Frisk Radio

Frisk Radio covered the event live—including the night shifts—helping spread the message even further and shining a light on men’s mental health.

ITV News Visit & Interviews

On Friday evening, ITV News came down to Oriya Gym to film the challenge and interview some of the team. It was a huge moment for raising awareness and sharing why events like this matter.

A Powerful Final Row

We completed the 2,000-mile (32,000km) distance early, finishing with a special ceremonial row at 10am on Sunday.
For that final stretch, we were joined by a young lad whose dad we rowed in memory of.
It was emotional, powerful, and a reminder of why this challenge—and Andy’s Man Club—exists:
to make sure fewer families have to go through that kind of loss.

Why Events Like This Matter

  • Men’s mental health is still heavily stigmatised.
  • Many men feel they have to “tough it out” in silence.
  • Andy’s Man Club offers a space where it’s okay to talk—and events like this help fund that mission.
“Struggle Together, Never Alone” isn’t just a tagline. It’s a promise:
you don’t have to face it on your own.

How You Can Still Support

If you couldn’t make it to the event, you can still support the cause:
